The PA’s Mission: To create a vibrant, engaging, and supportive environment for Schechter Manhattan families.
The volunteer-led Parents’ Association is a place where parents bring their enthusiasm, warmth, and creativity towards developing and implementing programming and specials events that enhance our wonderful school community. A highlight of the PA’s work is a fun-filled, spiritual, and community-building Shabbaton — held in the countryside — that typically takes place the first or second weekend of June.
All parents of children in the school are part of the PA and we welcome your involvement! There are so many ways to help out, whether you have an hour to spare or more. Parents can serve as class parents, chairs for events, or members of committees, and help with — among others — our lunch program, challah and lulav sales, mishloach manot, shabbaton planning, and the Chesed Committee. We’re always looking for new ideas and help in implementing old ones. Please take a look at our DESCRIPTION OF ROLES for more details.
We are excited to serve on the Schechter Manhattan PA and look forward to a great year. Email us at [email protected]. We’d love to hear from you!
